2010: Build Update - 10/15/10
Well, it's a little over 2 weeks before the big event. Some random props went
out a few days ago and the sign went out today. More outside props will appear
in the next week or so. A little background on that sign - it was originally an
old Coke sign I found at my uncle's house many years ago. It's been repainted
and repurposed as my haunt sign (I used it 2 years ago, too) and will be my haunt
sign in the future.

Still a bit more to build in the garage, but we're almost there. I'm hoping to have a great turnout this year! It's gonna be scary...
2010: Build Update - 09/08/10
Labor Day weekend brought the emergence of the haunt walls from the shed. Thanks
to my grunt (Garrett), we unloaded all of them in less than an hour. Props continue
to be built in the basement and in the madness of it all, I got inspired and came
up with a (probable) theme for the 2011 haunt...here's a sneak:

This will probably be the last update to the site until after this year's haunt. I've already taken lots of 'in progress' pictures that I hope to show at the conclusion of this year's haunt. Be sure to sign up to get email updates!
2010: Build Update - 08/26/10
Only a few weeks away from the big build and we're on schedule. Sixteen props are already completed and a few more are in production. Just a few new masks, some newly built props and a bunch of imagination. Here's a sneak preview of what you MIGHT see:

2009: The Dead Thank Everyone...
Our Best Turnout Ever!
Friday, November 6, 2009—Wow...thank you to the masses for coming out this year. I counted almost 100 people that came through (some went through several times). The weather was a bit sketchy, but it held off for the most part. I had a minor scare before the start with a power outage, but it all worked out well in the end. Special thanks to Garrett and Cassie for manning the outside and of course, to my wife, Deb, for constantly dealing with the madness of it all. We'll see you next year!
Fantastic Turnout in 2008 and Press Coverage in middletown valley Citizen

Wednesday, November 19, 2008—Wow...what a great turnout!
We saw about 75 people come thru the haunted house this year and everyone seemed
to love it. I gotta give a big shout out to my brother Garrett and his friend
Tony for making the backyard extra creepy. Most people couldn't tell if they were
real or not. And of course, my wife Deb, who constantly inspires me and gives
me great ideas for the haunted house. Thanks also to Ian Maliszewskyj for the
great picture and article in The Middletown Valley Citizen (a local newspaper).
It was great to have so much interest in our haunted house. We hope to see you
all again next year!
