Unfortunately, there will be NO HAUNTED HOUSE in 2011.
Creating a home haunt the size of ours is a huge undertaking, physically, mentally and financially. I've always done it for fun with no thoughts of not having one. I've got 60+ masks and heads, tons of props and lots of wood to create walls and special effects. The last few years have been even more difficult since we started our family. And now, this year we've added to our family with TWINS...yes, two more sets of feet to recruit into the home haunt. They'll be almost 4 months now this Halloween and we're so excited with our new additions. But with this excitement comes this unavoidable sacrifice...there's no possible way I can pull off a haunted house this year (or probably for the next few years). I need to devote all my time to my family. I hope that when they get older they share in my enjoyment of Halloween and help me continue Scarefest in the future.
